Leadership, Regeneration and the Future
The Re.Rural Caravan is an invitation to reimagine how we live, produce and coexist in rural areas.
It brings together 40 leaders/ participants from organizations and bioregions across the Iberian Peninsula who are committed to agroecological transition, territorial regeneration and re-ruralization.
From May 28 to 31, we will journey through the Raia border region, engaging with projects and communities in Cova da Beira, Idanha-a-Velha and Extremadura.
The Caravan is coordinated by Co.Re – GAIA Rural Learning Center and promoted by the organizations Idanha-à-Vida, Cova da Beira Converge and Cooperativa Atyva.
Over four days, we will visit more than ten inspiring initiatives:
agroecological farms, integral cooperatives, and social and cultural projects —
creating a living laboratory for exchange, peer learning and network building.
The Caravan is a space to strengthen alliances, share challenges and reignite the collective imagination about the future of rural territories.

To make this Caravan possible and accessible, we propose a contribution between
€100 and €300 (sliding scale), according to each participant’s financial capacity.
We believe in fairness, trust, and shared responsibility.
If you are in a position to contribute at the higher end, your generosity helps sustain the experience and make it accessible to others.
If €100 is still financially challenging for you, but you truly feel called to participate, please speak with us.
We are open to dialogue and, whenever possible, we can explore other meaningful forms of energy exchange.
We do not want money to be a limiting factor.
If you have places to stay along the route, or if you prefer to bring your own meals, we are completely open to that.
Flexibility is part of our approach. What matters most is your presence, your commitment, and our shared intention.
